It's the plastic pipe that sits between the intercooler pipe and the throttle body and has the boost sensor in it.
Common fault on this engine it seems and I had this part fail twice during my ownership of the car, real pain when it fails as the car is undrivable until it's fixed, so last time it failed I bought 2 and kept it in the boot in case it went again - takes 2 minutes to swap over so figured it would save me being stuck potentially ... never used it so this one is new.
