Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai - J11 (2013–2017)

Well after nearly 8 years of running a J11 1.5 I've decided its time to change and am trading the QQ in for a Volvo XC40 so will no longer be visiting here.

Enjoyed the QQ very much but it hasn't' always been trouble free and expensive at times. One thing I did notice was the huge difference in quality between the QQ and the XC40, the Volvo is so much nicer.

Anyway goodbye and good luck.

I just went from an XC40 to a J12 Tekna. They aren't much different imo and to get a similar spec you'd need the Ultimate trim Volvo at more than £12K extra.

Likewise I went from an xc40 to a J12. Very happy with the change and the significang cost saving.

If you look on the xc40 forums you'll see they are not always trouble free either like all cars.

No car is trouble free these days and you always need a laptop to sort things out.
Give it a while with the QQ guys and you'll soon realise that quality in the parts/finish is important and as is build quality particularly when parts fail well before you expect them to.
My QQ was great for 3 years and then the problems started with parts starting to fail and cost of replacement high. I had a Volvo V50 before the QQ and from my records I spent 25% of what I have had to spend on repairs etc to the QQ over a 9 year period and 150000 miles running the V50.

So good luck with your J12's, I certainly won't be buying one.

I switched to a J12 Tekna at the turn of the year coming from a Golf 8 which was easily the most unreliable fault ridden car I've ever owned, I decided to get rid of it before the warranty ran out.
