Hi,
5.7ltrs according to my handbook, but a do have a litre of shell ag in the garage, oh shoot yeah lol, the ag will top it up, that shell as well.

Hi, I thought while I've saved a load on this service I would invest in a trolley jack instead of messing with the scissor jack all the time, this should have no problem lifting the car at the garage jack points and then i can put my axle stands under and remove what I need. Expensive it might be but there was a 10% discount and will make the jobs more easier with a 3 year guarantee.
So far it has cost me:
Oil filter Tool £9
8mm Sump Key £7
Oil Filter And Washer £23
Oil £34
Trolley Jack 3 Ton £144
Total £217, still change for breakdown cover maybe.
Future Oil changes will only cost the oil and filter. Now I need a nice dry day lol.

I have them, used them on my smaller cars on my old flat driveway but prefer jack up and stands as this one is being done in front of house, luckily its a cul de sac. car has 8k on this oil so still time. I did have one slip under the car from a drive wheel, had to jack up and remove, you have to drive a fixing through the holes at the front to help prevent it.

Hi, Ok oil change all done, its been 8.5k since it was last done and will do it every 8k now, andy2019 you were correct in the fannying about with the undertray was the most time consuming, it was missing two pushpins and thee others were partially broke and the offside bolt at the front was seized so bad it broke the plastic where it was and came off in one piece and the others were very tight. Makes me wonder if they ever took it off.
I vacuum extracted the majority of the oil then removed the sump plug (very low torque on this and the filter housing), left about half a litre in, I only need to remove half the fixings on the undertray and it dropped down with plenty of room, so job done , got some new tools and the Halfords advanced 3 ton jack, still had about £50 left over from the Nissan price, next time round its just oil and filter so big savings then.
andy2019 do you have a link for the clips please and if you know the front bolts and fixings, I could use a flanged self tapper on that, I also need one of the fixings on top I'm missing, image attached.

Thanks

Glad oil changed kind of went to plan for you. I always replace all the plastic clips at each oil change they are cheap enough. Link below for 50 but they do smaller amounts https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400501125957
The bolts rust easy i always but drop of oil on when fitting back on car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222178397598

Thanks andy2019, you would think for what they charge they would replace what they broke, the car has a Nissan service history up till last March so I'm confident they lost and broke them, I put the good clips to the back so I can put car up on curb to replace the others.

Like most dealers if they can get away without doing the job correct they will. I serviced my friends kia sportage in the wk 5mins to change both air and pollen filter. Then 30mins to get to oil sump as they use 12 10mm bolts (well rusty too. And 4 plastic clips) to hold the under tray in place 🤯 will be useing my drill socket next yr to get them bolts off quicker 😁

Hi, ordered the stainless bolts and found the other clips, all on the way. With the state of the bolt I'm hoping they did change the oil filter but maybe they just vacuumed it out and put new oil in, how would any one know, I only do about 7-9k a year, cam belt change in March so I need to find a dealership near me with a good reputation, I'm thinking Chorley but they come under the same group as Wigan, I don't think any have viewing windows to watch the work?.
Anyone recommend a dealership within 80 miles of Wigan?.
