I am in the process of trying to replace most of the bulbs in my 2012 J10 with LEDS and I have conflicting information on the festoon bulb in the rear map reading lights. The handbook says 8W but Mr. Haynes says 5W! Nowhere does it specify the length of the festoon bulb either.

Can anybody tell me what wattage & length bulb I need rather than me having to remove the lamp, take it apart and probably lose the small screws that hold it together in the process!

think it maybe 28mm or 32mm as been a while since i upgraded a j10, as for the watts led are bright so don`t worry about 5 or 8wat, you don`t have to remove bulb to measure it ;)

They are 31mm size bulbs - bought a couple from that well known internet auction site and braved the cold today to fit the first one....an easy job and the light output from a 1 watt LED is incredible compared with the 8w bulb originally fitted! Well worth the cost.

Done all the interior lighting, I found OEM LED footwell lights made by Hella on ebay so they were easy to do, I am waiting for LED H7 bulbs to come down to a sensible price before I do the headlamps so I have compromised with buying PIAA Hyper Arros halogen bulbs which are 3900 kelvin light colour. I would like to do the reversing lights as they are very poor but like everything else Nissan the thought of trying to remove the inner tailgate trim is a bit daunting. I have a suspicion that nothing is simple to do on the Qashqai because they are designed to be taken to the main dealer whenever it needs work done on it!
