Hi all
Wondered if anyone has had the same problem?
In May last year, we broke down on M5. Long story short, our 2015 qashqai with only 40,000 on the clock, required new CVT and Timing chain!! it had been purchased at a dealer and been regularly serviced there. The bill came to over £6,000!!
We approached Nissan to help us out, especially as we financed it with them. They did nothing! Didn't want to know and neither did the dealer, we got no help whatsoever!

4 months down the line, the car is back in the garage! low compression they are saying? We are hoping that it is the timing chain again? Hope it will come under warranty?
if not, we now have no money to pay for any repairs. It has been so stressful.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone
Paul

Hi Paul, it looks highly probable that the timing chain and compression issues you have experienced are all related to already known issues with the 1.2 petrol engine. If the issues you are facing are the same then they relate to a well known (by Nissan and Nissan dealerships) manufacturing fault on the line at Sunderland. Nissan and the dealerships are likely to do their level best to deny responsibility on this and you may have to involve solicitors. Search on here for more details about this issue, some owners have had some joy out of Nissan but it seems only those with full Nissan Servicing History seem to get any traction with them. Referring to the 2015 Sale Of Good Act is like to be ignored unless presented to them via a solicitor.
