So recently purchased a 2014 qashqai 1.5dci
After a few days clutch is slipping
Taken into garage for clutch replacement
They said it needs new flywheel and clutch
They've now had the car 3 days saying they can't get the clutch to fit properly, they think the original is a different size? Said they've tried 3 clutches now. They've ordered another one which matches the original size better and will try tomorrow.
I'm not mechanically minded but I figured you just order a qashqai clutch and flywheel and fit them, I figured they're all standard parts for that model of car.
Any advice on what the best thing to do is? Does it sound like they don't know what they're doing? Or is there something that would affect them fitting a clutch properly? I find it a bit confusing how they've tried fitting 3? Surely trying a 4th is a bit stupid.
