Qashqai J11 2019.

I have the warning on my dashboard saying low pressure. It’s on the front near side tyre. Fine.

I inflated the tyre and was confused because it didn’t increase on the dashboard, however it did on the tyre inflator.

I’ve now the tyres on the dashboard screen are opposite. It’s hard to explain, but after increasing the pressure in the front near side, the pressure on the back near side on the display increased to 3.2.

It’s almost as if the dashboard has the front and rear wheels mixed up.

Any idea how I can get this sorted?

To get the car readout corrected re tyres mapped to wrong locations you will need to visit a tyre garage who will need to reset it all for you.

I know what pressure they should be, they’re showing the front pressure is low when in fact it’s the back tyre.

I’ll have to head to a garage. Any idea of costs?

How do you reset the stored tyre pressures as Andy said?

I have just thought it might have been when I had my tyres changed?

I had all 4 changed in September. Might it be that they put the rear wheels on the front of the car and vice versa? Where is the sensor for the tyre pressure? I assume it’s inside the wheel and this connects somehow to the dashboard?

Yes, most likely. The sensors are inside the wheels. Go back to where you got the tyres, they might do it for free, else it shouldn't cost much.

Thanks for that.

Shirley they should do it for free as it was their fault for putting them on the wrong side (front instead of rear)?

How much would it cost if not roughly?

My local 'shop' just fixed this for free when I had a new sensor fitted. It shouldn't take more than a few mins. They need to reset the sensors to the car, not swap wheels around.
