Hi all,
Purchased a new Qashqai in June last year and noticed about 2 months later, marks appearing (depending on the lighting conditions) on the screen. The more I looked into this issue, it seems to be down to the anti-glare protection peeling on the screen. I have only ever used a separate microfibre cloth to clean the screen with no sprays etc... Can you please let me know if this issue would be covered under warranty as it is quite annoying, especially for a new car. Thanks all, in advance.

Welcome to this forum

I don't recall anyone reporting this issue but I'd certainly hope it was covered by the warranty. Nissan charges a huge amount for replacement (of older systems - unlikely to have changed with this one).

I can't find a warranty inclusion/exclusion document but the extended warranty would appear to include it - https://www-europe.nissan-cdn.net/conte ... c20_v3.pdf

I have noticed the same thing on mine. When I replaced the factory plastic cover with an actual screen protector, while gently cleaning the screen to remove dust, that anti-gare coating very easily got removed. Fortunately for me, it only happened on the side of the screen, and it's now protected with the aftermarket foil, but it's still visible in the sun and very annoying that it happened so easily.

I didn't ask if it's covered under warranty, but I sure would expect it to be.

I would definitely be on the phone ASAP to speak to the supplying Dealership.
This will be covered under the Three Year Nissan Warranty.
Stand your ground and if by chance they say that it isn't covered, contact Nissan UK.
Please keep us informed how you get on with the issue to hopefully help other Forum members suffering the same.

i would have asked them to sort the screen out before you even picked up the car, it hasn`t got a screen protector on it that just needs peeling off has it ;)

Having similar issues on my one year old.
Especially where you have to press the OK button.

Follow up after going into First service...

Asked about warranty query being raised... this they did and said they had same issue show up on another car, which Nissan agreed to replace the unit on.
Hopefully will get same response and likewise have replacement fitted etc.

Hi
My 2023 Qashqai has the reflective glare cover coming off wherever it is regularly touched..eg the ok and home areas. I’m gutted. I’m so careful when cleaning it, and only use my own warm breath and a special clean screen cloth.
Nissan dealer said they may or may not replace it under warranty, and I’m still waiting to hear from them.
This car cost me over 32k and I love it, so am so distressed that this has happened.
Anyone had theirs replaced under warranty without a whole lot of stress?
Thanking you all.
