Auto hold

Just brought my first Qashqai and every thing is great well almost everything..
Sometimes when driving the auto hold will stop working especially when going down bumpy roads.
Is this usual or is there a easy fix for it?

Auto hold is for when pulling away and your on a slope to stop you rolling back

Hi, this feature is to take the fatigue away from keeping your foot on the brake, as it holds the car on drive when u come to a stop and is activated after a few seconds and is released automatically when you press the accelerator

Thanks for responding to my question my problem is that sometimes if iv hit a pothole or something it will turn off so it doesn't work when stopped and have to keep foot on break and will only work again once stopped manually applied the parking break and turned engine off then when start up again its OK.

Hi,

I think yours may be faulty. Presume the white light on the dash disappears and the light on the button near the gear stick?

The auto-hold always stays operational for me (unless I manually switch it off) and has never switched off on its own despite the local roads being pothole strewn

. Mines a manual but I don't think there is any difference even on the auto box, it should come on after a second or two on the foot brake and release as you set off.

May need a trip to the garage for a check.

This happened to me from new. There is a sensor on the brake and maybe accelerator pedal that was loose. Works great now.

Main dealer as in was only 1 week old, so done as a warranty fix.
