Hunter 4 wheel alignment
The machines are brilliant but they are only as good as the operator using them
They can be very very expesive also. I had my MIni Cooper S checked & sure enough just about every single point needed adjusting. I cant remember the cost, but was around £150. I said no way & in the end they did it for £80 .. i still felt ripped off as im sure you dont need such accuracy for street driving.

Yep probably going to get the front done to align the wheel only slightly out. My understanding shims can be used on the rear axle, though the thrust line on a solid axled car is unajustable.Monkeywba wrote:Was your steering wheel perfectly straight before on a straight road? And where is your steering wheel angled now to go in a straight line now?
1.2 Auris TS, Yaris 1.5.
Following the fitment of new Nexun tyres on the from of my Tekna I thought everything was ok, but then again not really got chance to use the car much. Now I have used the car a few times on some distance journeys I can confirm the steering wheel isn't as straight as it was prior to the new tyres.
I always use my friends tyre garage even though it's not the most local garage to me because of the customer service I get (he treats most people the same, friend or not). Took it in before Christmas for alignment check and alteration but last week noticed the steering wheel still wasn't straight so took it back today. They set it up again but following a test drive it still wasn't right (better, but not right). This time he took it for a drive and third time lucky I think we hit the jackpot.
Got a road trip next week, so here's hoping the alignment will stick.

if the car is fine when it`s dry then it`s down to your tyres and not the tracking i would say. but there is nothing wrong with haveing the front tracking checked just to put your mind at rest if it`s out or not.
