Sat Nav Voice Guidance

Post by AMD » Mon Jan 14, 2019 1:30 pm

Hi,

New to the forum and hoping someone can help with an issue I have

I viewed a 2012 manufactured QQ N-TEC 1.6 diesel at a garage which at that time did not have the SD card inserted for the Connect 1 unit. The seller agreed to provide an SD card which was in the car when purchased. Everything on the connect unit seems to work fine except the voice guidance. I have voice guidance switched on and the volume of voice guidance set to 100% . The radio, pairing of Iphone etc and map guidance is all ok,

I have ordered an extra SD card in case its that but it has not yet arrived to test.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue and can assist me to resolve this please?

Any help appreciated.

Many Thanks

Andy

This relates to a J11A QQ, but have you ensured you have volume turned up?

Hi,

Thanks for that.

These are similar instructions but not the same version however, yes, I have the guidance volume set at its highest level

Hi. do you have any guidance sound at all or is it just quite?
If you have, i noticed on mine that when the spoken voice is heard i can turn up the volume with the volume control.
Hope this helps.

I discovered that as well Chris, I couldn’t find any volume control in the settings on my J11b but as you say if you turn up the volume while she is talking it increases and remains at that level for future trips.

Hi

By way of an update, I received a second SD card but that made no difference to the problem of voice guidance however I tested something to see if voice guidance worked in another language and it DID. Very strange that I can get a foreign language to work ok but the UK woman doesn’t work

Any comments welcomed

Andy
