New Member with a problem .....

Hi all, I have bought a 1.5dci QQ +2 60 plate and I have 2 little problems that i can't seem to get sorted and I was wondering if anyone could help me with what the problems may be...
So the first problem is that under 2k revs the car doesn't accelerate smoothly, once over 2k revs the car pulls well, when under load the car puts a red engine management light on and reduces the power. The light goes out when the car is turned off and on again. The code has been read and comes back as P2263.
There is also a cruise control fault although i cant get the code to come up yet.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the solution could be....
