Call me old-fashioned but I DO prefer those wheels to the standard rather flashy ones which don't suit the car.

Hi Keith, was just going to pop you a pm and then saw it. Hey that is sure looking nice and appears well worth the time and money. A couple of weeks back I looked at the “WIND” Wheels (My opinion Nice and different) and the work carried out on the Rib Forms looks nice also in my opinion it did appear to me (as always could be proved wrong) that the tires protruded in front of the Alloys offering a bit of kerb protection. When you have a bit of time and have stopped drooling 😋 over the new QQ could you take a look, I would be interested in your feeling - Thanks & Enjoy Dave 😉

When I had new tyres on my Qashqai I deliberately chose ones with integral rim protectors - not sure how effective they would have been since I never kerbed an alloy!

Morning Dave, I think the rim protection depends more on the profile of the tyre than the rim design. It isn’t easy to see from the pics but the rim protection is much more pronounced on the Michelin PS4’s of the old Qq and on the Pilot Supersports on my other car. I was disappointed Nissan are now fitting Dunlop’s. At least they will only last five minutes compared to the Michelins. There is definitely less rim protection with the Dunlop’s. Pics go Supersports, Dunlop’s, PS4’s.

As you can see Gloucester, big rim protection on the old Qq. My Mrs still managed to kerb three out of four, alloys are made of cheese.

Looking fabulous you can’t beat a car when it’s been detailed!
You are right the wheels do suit the grey loving the colour !
Enjoy

Thank you Nick, I agree, the wheels and a detail make the grey car. I’m happy with our choices. Not seen any others with Wind alloys yet but don’t think you can go wrong with any of the five colours.

I am due to change my QQ later this year but am in no rush, it seems sensible to wait for the new 2020 model to come out, does anyone when in 2020 the new QQ is to be released ?

PJB729, there seems to be no now news and not to be much of a change from the last information that was posted - Dave 🤨
