This applies to many cars nowadays - my Ignis has LED lights too! They're great!

Has anyone else had this issue and what was the outcome?

They and others only have to worry about their 3 year (whatever) warranty. It truly surprises me that maintainability..or ease of maintenance has been ignored for these headlamps. Aim is to simplify and lower costs for maintenance/repair. The design here also eliminates competition.Bobby220481 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 5:31 pm I feel for all the Tekna owners on here, so if any lights stop working on your front lights. It could mean a new headlight at a cost of £500 plus labour. That’s just crazy, I would have thought that the headlight panel would last more than 6 years. How can Nissan justify this.
LED devices are dead simple...a bunch of diodes. Probably from China. OK so they are high bright things and need power regulation to accompany them. Cooling will be critical of course. Is there positioning motors within?
Whats worse perhaps is that they are microprocessor controlled over a comms bus...things simply get too complicated and as a result far too costly.
I had similar with a Ford Focus Halogen Headlamp...big shaped plastic nonsense. Had a bad bulb socket so I managed to get a non OEM unit made in Taiwan...far better quality. And at least half the price of local Ford fools.

I’ve got a similar headland (drivers side). Comes on fine then the dipped headlight goes off and the warning light comes on the dashboard, then the light comes back on and the warning goes off. It keeps doing this at varying intervals. Priced it up at Nissan supplied and fitted £1k. ridiculous prices. Has anyone had a similar issue and if so was it something else causing it to fail or is it the light unit itself. Also has anyone found a supplier cheaper than Nissan. I have 2017 tekna plus diesel
